WITICO Summary

Merissa's life was turned upside down the night her mother died, but she's held the true details of that night in since it happened. She holds everything in until, one night, it all becomes too much for the eighteen year old to handle. This is the night she tries to kill herself.
She is sent to a therapist, Frank, who is her father's co-worker. Though Merissa is reluctant to open up, Frank continually preaches that she'll only feel better once she opens up.
In walks George, Frank's younger brother. Merissa immediately feels a connection with him. Though he is significantly older than she, Merissa and George become lovers, and he is ultimately the first who learns of the dark secrets Merissa harbors.

What will happen to Merissa: will she recover, or will her depression continue to get worse? Is she even telling everything about her past? And what will happen with her relationship with George, especially when Jake, her father, finds out?
