Thorny Coconut of my Heart

I first met thorns back when I founded Beta-Readers. She came on first as a beta reader, and she was one of the most active and dedicated members. Soon, though, I really needed some help with that group, so I put it out there to the group. Would anyone want to help? Or would I have to close the group down? I feared that. I saw how the group was helping people, and I really didn't want to close it down.

Thorns was the only person to step up and offer to volunteer her time to my group. I will forever be grateful for that, as she really helped shaped the way the group is now. Her systems and organization really brought everything full circle.

When I stepped down from that group, I knew I was leaving it in good hands. Thorns has kept the group running, and it's rumored that she has even more crazy, color-coded spreadsheets now than she did a few years ago, if that's even possible!

Thorns continued to spread her love of the literature community by starting the Word Wars Chat Tours. At the time, I had absolutely no idea what a word war was, and I didn't know if this chat tour was going to be a success. I'm glad that my doubts were wrong, though, because the chat tours did turn out to be a huge success. It's not spawned into his own group where thorns can have some of her lackies to do her biddings friends help her out in her endeavor.

I'm proud to say that I knew thorns “way back when”, before the seniority, before the community volunteering, when she was just thorns, just a member of Beta-Readers. I've watched her gain all of this dA-Fame.

If anyone deserves it, it's her!
